Building a Foundation: Churchill Varsity Cheer Wraps Up Fall Season Under Coach Corrin

The Livonia Churchill Varsity Cheer team is nearing the conclusion of its Fall 2025 season, marking a period of significant growth and transition under the guidance of new Head Coach Allison Corrin. Corrin, in her first year leading the varsity squad, has noted that the team has "come a long way since starting in June". Despite facing a few challenges, she feels she has "really gotten into the swing of things".

With the Fall season winding down, the focus is shifting to program development and the upcoming competitive season. Coach Corrin is "looking forward to building up our program for future longevity and seeing what that looks like over the next few seasons". The competitive season is scheduled to begin next month.

Athlete Dedication and Standouts

Coach Corrin acknowledged she has been fortunate to work with "amazing athletes" this season, though she is "sad to be losing some" before the competitive portion of the schedule.

A key leader who will be missed is Senior Skyler McCauley. McCauley exemplifies dedication, as she "always puts in the work and stays ready for action". Her role as a strong backspot is vital, and she actively ensures "her teammates safety during stunting or tumbling". Coach Corrin expressed disappointment at only having one season with McCauley and looks forward to cheering her on during her basketball season.

Beyond the veteran leaders, the team has seen significant progress across the roster, with even inexperienced athletes gaining "an immense level of confidence throughout the season".
