LIVONIA11/2/2025

While autumn leaves are just beginning to fall, Livonia residents and Metro Detroiters are already looking ahead to a lively first week of November 2025. Livonia Thrive is excited to bring you an exclusive, early preview of what’s on the calendar, ensuring you don’t miss out on local happenings, major concerts, or vital community gatherings.

The week of Monday, November 3rd, through Friday, November 7th, 2025, promises a diverse array of activities, from essential city meetings and library programs right here in Livonia to high-energy concerts and professional sports matchups across the Metro Detroit area.

Livonia Keeps Community at Its Core

Our city is bustling with engagement! Greenmead Historical Park will host "Stories, Snacks and Crafts: Say Cheese!" on Tuesday, November 4th, offering a delightful morning for the younger crowd. For adults, Trinity Health Livonia provides an important, free education series on "Addiction: What You Need to Know & What You Can Do" on Tuesday evening. The Livonia Chamber of Commerce will hold its "General Coalition Meeting" on Wednesday, November 5th, an open invitation for those interested in substance use disorder and mental health prevention efforts.

City governance is also front and center. Livonia City Council will host both a "Committee of the Whole Meeting" at 6:00 PM and their "2028th City Council Regular Meeting" at 7:00 PM, both on Wednesday, November 5th, in the City Hall Auditorium. These public meetings offer residents a direct channel to city business and decision-making.

The Livonia Public Library system, encompassing Carl Sandburg and Bennett Civic Center Libraries, will be active with various "Library Programs" throughout the week, including storytimes, book clubs, and adult talks. Similarly, **Livonia Parks & Recreation** will be running a host of "Kids / Community Activities" at the Jack E. Kirksey Recreation Center and other community hubs. Check their respective calendars for specific times and registration details.

A special week-long observance, "Military, Veterans and First Responders Appreciation Week," will kick off on November 3rd, with promotions and events planned at **AAA Livonia** and potentially other regional venues.

Metro Detroit Heats Up with Sports & Entertainment

Beyond Livonia’s borders, the Metro Detroit area is set to light up with major events. Music lovers have a treat in store with the **All Time Low – EVERYONE’S TALKING! Tour** hitting The Fillmore Detroit on Monday, November 3rd, delivering a dose of rock/pop-punk energy. Later in the week, blues-rock legend **Joe Bonamassa** graces the iconic Fox Theatre stage on Friday, November 7th. Throughout the week, expect various "Assorted Concerts & Shows" at popular venues like The Fillmore and MotorCity Casino's Sound Board, with national touring acts making their stops.

Sports fans will have plenty to cheer about. The **Detroit Pistons** have NBA regular-season games scheduled during this week, both at Little Caesars Arena and potential away dates. Not to be outdone, the **Detroit Red Wings** will face off against the New York Rangers in an NHL regular-season game at Little Caesars Arena on Friday, November 7th.

Community-focused events also dot the regional map. The "Run of the Dead 2025" takes place on November 3rd, serving as an annual fundraiser in City Council District 6. The "Detroit Urban Summit Series" offers a free community event at Wayne County Community College NW Campus on Wednesday, November 5th. Preservation Detroit celebrates a milestone with their "50th Anniversary Gala" at the Dakota Inn. Other notable gatherings include the "Eliza Howell Park Community Dinner & Master Plan Engagement Session" and the "Detroit Youth Assembly" on Thursday, November 6th.

This early glimpse into November 2025 showcases a vibrant calendar for Livonia and the broader Metro Detroit region. Be sure to mark your calendars and check official websites for the most up-to-date information, including ticketing, registration, and any potential schedule changes.
