⛳️ Franklin Girls Golf: Building for the Future with Unmatched Team Spirit

The Franklin High School Girls Golf team wrapped up their Fall 2025 season with an emphasis not just on scores, but on building a strong foundation and team camaraderie. Coach Ryan Tracy characterized the year as a "rebuilding year" with three new players and no returning seniors on the roster.
While Coach Tracy acknowledged that the team and individual results "weren't exactly what I would have wanted," he praised the squad for its exceptional team spirit. "The camaraderie on and off the course was unmatched in my time here at Franklin," Tracy noted, highlighting the positive attitudes and strong rapport among the girls.
Team Leaders and Key Contributors
Coach Tracy highlighted several players for their crucial roles during the rebuilding phase:
- Olivia Heitzmann took on a major leadership role. She also posted the team's lowest 18-Hole Average (124) and lowest 9-Hole Average (54).
- Gabby Hart helped set the tone and pace of practice and matches.
- Lilly Velentzas was named the most improved player from last season.
- Catherine Pawelski's game started to come around toward the end of the year.
- Freshman Natalie Mazurek played in almost every varsity event.
- Addie Bates and Emmy Thompson brought new life, positive attitudes, and the ability to hit the long ball to the team.
