LIVONIA — 12/31/2025
The Livonia Churchill Chargers varsity boys basketball team enters the 2026 calendar year looking to find consistency after a challenging opening month. Currently holding a 2–6 overall record, the Chargers have shown flashes of high-level play, particularly in double-digit victories over Garden City and Carlson. However, a grueling December schedule featuring powerhouses like Wayne Memorial and a tough road loss at the Airport Jets Showcase against Erie-Mason has tested the team's depth.
Looking Ahead: The January Gauntlet
The road ahead does not get any easier for Churchill. The team will host cross-town rival Stevenson on January 6th, a matchup that traditionally draws a large local crowd and serves as a bellwether for the remainder of the season. Following that, they face Westland Glenn and Dearborn in pivotal league games that will determine their seeding for the postseason tournaments.
