Clarenceville Girls Basketball Update 12/31/2025

LIVONIA12/31/2025

The Livonia Clarenceville girls varsity basketball team is officially back on the hardwood for the 2025-26 campaign. Competing in the Michigan Independent Athletic Conference (MIAC) Blue Division, the Trojans are entering a crucial stretch of their schedule as they look to build chemistry and improve on last year’s developmental season.

Under the leadership of the coaching staff, the Trojans have faced a challenging opening slate in December. While the early results have favored their opponents, the team has shown resilience in competitive matchups against non-league foes like Taylor Prep and Garden City. The program, which is currently in a rebuilding phase within Class Division 2, continues to emphasize growth and defensive discipline as they head into the heart of conference play.

Current Standings and Season Results

As of late December 2025, the Trojans hold an overall record of 0-4. Despite the winless start, the team has remained competitive, particularly in a six-point defensive battle against Garden City just before the holiday break.

Analysis and Key Details

The Trojans are navigating a schedule that features several high-caliber private school programs. A notable trend in the early season is the team's improved scoring output; their 32-point performance against Taylor Prep and 30-point showing against Garden City represent a significant step forward compared to several low-scoring outings in the previous season. The upcoming February 26th game against local rival Redford Union is expected to be a highlight of the regular season's end, serving as a final tune-up before the MHSAA District playoffs begin in early March.
